Below is the car's whole journey and your payments step by step. If something in this scheme doesn't suit you, tell us: we also work in parts, for example delivery only or customs only.
We discuss your budget, the type of car and how you will use it. Within 1–3 days we send a selection of lots — with photos, history and our assessment of the condition.
For the chosen lot we get a history report (Carfax, AutoCheck or CarVertical), check the damage, and calculate the repair cost and the full price to Tbilisi.
We sign a contract with a fixed fee. You pay a deposit, and we bid at the auction or buy directly. The lot documents are issued in your name.
Tow truck to the port, loading into a container, ocean. We send photos at every stage and the container tracking. The car is insured for the whole transport.
We clear the car in Poti: excise, import tax, fees. Then a tow truck to Tbilisi and help with registration and number plates.
Customs since 2 April 2026
Georgia tripled the excise on cars older than 6 years: 4.5 ₾ per cm³ instead of 1.5 ₾. That is why we recommend importing cars from 2020 or newer — or electric cars, which pay no excise at all.
Calculation: excise + import tax + customs fees, 2.5 L engine. Rules — amendments by the Parliament of Georgia, in force since 02.04.2026.
Money
The final amount is the lot price, marketplace fees, inland delivery to the port, ocean freight, customs in Georgia and our fee. The fee is fixed and known before the deal: we don't earn on the exchange rate or on a "markup" to the lot price.
Since 2 April 2026 the excise in Georgia is 1.5 ₾ per cm³ for cars up to 6 years old and 4.5 ₾ for older ones. Hybrids up to 6 years get a 60% discount, electric cars pay no excise. We send the exact amount for a specific car in the calculation.
Before purchase you risk nothing: sourcing and inspection are free. After a lot is won, backing out costs money — the auction keeps a penalty. That is why we agree the bid limit in writing and never go above it.
The contract, the car documents, a VIN history report, a photo report of every stage, the handover certificate. At customs — all receipts for the duties paid.
