Customs 2026
Since 2 April 2026 the excise depends on the car's age: up to 6 years — 1.5 ₾ per cm³, older — 4.5 ₾. Hybrids up to 6 years get a 60% discount, electric cars pay no excise. Below is a calculation under these rules for popular models: excise, import tax and customs fees.

Questions
Clean title — a car with no record of a serious insurance claim. Salvage — a car written off by the insurer. Both types can be registered in Georgia, but salvage is cheaper and needs a careful repair assessment.
Not in person — the auction is in the USA. But we send a full photo report of the lot, a Carfax or AutoCheck report and our assessment of the damage.
Cars from the USA are left-hand drive — the usual and most liquid configuration in Georgia.
